Can you believe it’s nearly May already?

Well here we are again – moving into May and still no signs of slowing down this side! We’ve had a lively couple of weeks – with new commissions, collaborations, and collections on the go, and many more to come. I started off the month by finally ordering all the new tools I’ve had my eye on with my scholarship money, so I’ve been having a great time putting all of those to use.

Speaking of putting those to use – we certainly did just that in developing our new small accessories collection! They’ve not long dropped on the website – so if you’re in the market for some biker inspired wallet chains, collars, and jewellery – you can check them out over at www.laurenbroxton.com, amidst some of our previous collection pieces.

Which leads me to the main event of the past few weeks:

Our latest editorial photoshoot that took place last week! I can’t quite explain just how much I love shoot days – it’s such a treat once all the work is done! It’s a lot to arrange, organising models, locations, photographers, make-up artists and collaborators. However, I’m very lucky to have an amazing group of creatives that I frequently work with, who I know are just going to create magic on set. I have a strict rule that I only work with people that I like and trust – and with that comes the opportunity for all of us to bring our own expertise and ideas to create a beautiful collaborative result.
A hallmark of my brand is the idea of celebrating the extraordinary amongst the ordinary. I love nothing more than using everyday environments to create beautiful editorials. So with that, we headed to an industrial estate in the Black Country (another hallmark), with a small team and the addition of a roaring Harley Davidson, and spent the day re-imagining the area through a styled shoot. It was an amazing day, and I can’t wait to share the final images!
I’d like to take this opportunity to also thank and shout out the incredible team of people who helped to make this happen – Joe Marchant (@joemarch_photography), my absolute go-to photographer for his insane skills and willingness to climb over just about anything to get ‘The Shot’. Christopher Trevis (@christopher.trevis)  for his beautiful, refined make-up artistry and head bursting with ideas. Jess Faye Fox (@wildernessholistics) for bringing along her stunning jewellery that perfectly complimented my pieces. My Model Zac for being a born natural and helping us to secure the location, and Charlotte for being an amazing assist and runner.

Finally, the incredible hospitality of Café Roux  (café.roux) and Mam Printing (@mamprinting_)  – who went above and beyond to make us feel at home and get the result we wanted.

That’s enough for this month – see you in May!
