Letters from Lucy : The Christmas rush is well on the way

Wednesday, 7 December 2022

“Hi Everyone,

Well November went by in a bit of a flash! I’ve had an increase in the number of repairs coming through the door, from steamer trunks to motorbike leathers. I love the variety of work it brings, and it’s fantastic to be able to give something a new lease of life, but I do find it pretty nerve racking being entrusted with items of such sentimental value.

Christmas time can also get a bit busy with the smaller items I make like bracelets, hip flasks and key-rings. I always try my best to get people to place their orders as early as possible but despite officially closing my books for orders, I’m still getting requests coming through.

Every year one of my best sellers is my stirrup-keyrings. They are just such a good stocking filler or secret Santa idea for those horse loving friends. I also recently added a snaffle wrap bracelet to my product line which has also been proving popular in the run up to Christmas.
(What can I say, I just really love all the adorable bits of mini metalwork Abbey make!)

I hope you’re all managing to book some time off for Christmas,

Bye for now,
Lucy :)“
