Lever Bits provide added poll pressure through a leveraged action. Leverage action may be applied when the rein is attached/ utilised below the mouthpiece. This is used properly with a curb chain, or leather, synthetic or elastic strap, which controls and limits the leverage action. Where there is no curb commonly used, the bit may be lifted up and back in the mouth.
